Sam at 1 Month!

Sam turned 1 Month old today! We celebrated with a trip to the doctor.
Sam is now 10 pounds 5 oz (up from 8 pounds 7 oz just 3 weeks ago). He also grew 1 inch and is now 22.5 inches long (he is in the 90th percentile for both).
Sam is smiling, cooing and learning how to roll over (but has yet to do so).


Simon had his 3 year check up today as well. He enjoyed wearing his tiger hospital gown. He is 34 pounds and 39 inches tall. And he enjoyed answering the doctor's questions about Sam and what he wants to do when he grows up ("ride a bicycle" was his answer )

Happy Holidays!

This year's celebration of Christmas and Hanukkah was a great one! Simon was so excited to hand out presents and unwrap them. And he loved hearing about Santa Claus. Though he wondered how he would fit down a chimney :) It was also great to celebrate with our new little bundle Sam! Click on Simon to see some more pictures from the holidays.

Introducing Samuel Aaron Roth!

Samuel (Sam) Aaron Roth didn't hesitate as he came zooming into the world on November 28th at 8:18PM.

Mark barely had time to get home (I called him at 6:22) and walk me to the hospital but we made it and a painfully brief time later, Sam was here weighing in at 8lbs 8oz and measuring 19.5" long.

We are doing well and adjusting to life with our two little boys. Simon is loving his role as the big brother (although he says he doesn't like all of Sam's crying).

Simon Turns 3!

After waking up with a bad cold this morning and telling me he didn't want a birthday, Simon managed to turn 3 and have a great day!

Hershey Park Happy

It's been a fun summer so far! We had a great time a few weeks ago when we visited Grandma Barbara and Grandpa Marvin and went to Hershey Park.

Touch a Truck!

Yesterday a local elementary school had a "Touch a Truck" fundraiser. Simon got to see and touch many different trucks, including an ambulance, cement truck, garbage truck and fire truck. It was a lot of fun!

Hey Diddle Diddle

To get away from the snow, we visited Grandma Barbara and Grandpa Marvin this past weekend. We had a great time checking out Hershey's Chocolate World, Monkey Joe's and reading books. Here is Simon "reading" his version of Hey Diddle Diddle.

Blizzard Fun!

We missed the actual blizzard but have been enjoying all the snow left in its wake.

Simon enjoyed walking in the crunchy snow, helped build his first snowman, and went sledding for the first time. It has been a fun week. Click on Simon to see more pictures.

Celebrating the Holidays

We've been having so much fun lately that I haven't been blogging. But I'll try to catch everyone up now...

The week after Simon's birthday, we celebrated a wonderful Brooklyn Thanksgiving with Mark's and Susan's families.


We put up our first Christmas tree and continued our tradition of celebrating both Hanukkah and Christmas.


We traveled to Pennsylvania (or Pencil-bania as Simon calls it) to visit Grandma Barbara and Grandpa Marvin for Christmas. Click on the picture of Simon to see pictures of our trip. Among other things Simon received a really fun train table and his first RC fire truck. It was a great visit that also included a trip to one of Simon's favorite places, Hershey Chocolate World.


We returned to Brooklyn and had a lovely Christmas dinner with Mark's family.


It has been a fun, exciting and Simon-spoiling couple of weeks!
