Simon's 6 Month Checkup
Simon had his 6 month checkup on Wednesday. Here are his stats:
Weight: 19 pounds (86th percentile)
Length: 27 inches (82nd percentile)
Head Circumference: 44.9 cm (86th percentile)
He's certainly grown! Here is Simon showing off his band aids which he received after his shots. Is he getting bigger or are the band aids getting smaller?

Simon at 6 Months
Happy half-birthday to our big, little guy!

Today Simon turns 6 months old. We can hardly believe we've had Simon in our lives for 6 months. It seems like such a short time. But then again, we can hardly remember our lives without him.
Mark and I are having a great time getting to know and raising our little man.
Simon will have his 6-month checkup tomorrow so I'll wait to give the stats until then but for now, here is a picture and video update of the past month...
Simon's two teeth are coming in nicely and he is putting them to good use. He LOVES food. He started fruits and veggies earlier this month and we've decided we'll have to ask the doctor to check to see if he has taste buds.
No matter what we give him, anything from apples to peas he has the same reaction. This tastes good. I want more.

As for milestones, Simon is working on crawling. He hasn't quite mastered going forward but he certainly covers a lot of ground going backward and in circles.
Simon has really taken a liking to the swings at the park. They are his favorite and we try to go whenever the weather is nice.

Simon also loves bath time or as we like to call it "splash mommy time."
It has been an amazing 6 months! We can't wait to see what the next 6 months will bring.

Simon's New High Chair
Happy Belated Mother's Day to everyone!
We had an eventful weekend...
We spent Saturday at Buy Buy Baby picking out a high chair for Simon. We went with the Anka High Chair by Svan and also purchased a sippy cup and plate to complete the set.
Simon started off strong with the sippy cup but it quickly turned into something else to bite.
We'll continue to work on that.

He also liked eating from high atop his new seat (but who wouldn't like oatmeal, applesauce and sweet potato?)

The rest of the weekend was a bit more relaxing with some time in the park and dinner with Mark's family. It was a very nice weekend.
